CEO - Lauren Delroy, PhD

Dr. Delroy is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, where she researched the cultivation of stem cell-derived food constructs. Upon passing a review of the school’s ethics board, Dr. Delroy’s proposal for ethically sourced human meat alternatives was initiated and resulted in the first bioprinted food constructs derived from human stem cells—which were her own.

COO - Gerard Vancampen, PhD

Food scientist Dr. Gerard Vamcampen has spent over two decades researching consumer preferences, focusing on meats. Finding a correlation between diner perception and palatability, Vancampen demonstrated through numerous studies that exotic foods are rated more highly in terms of taste than more quotidian dishes.

Chief Marketing Director -Charleston Rickman-Boyd, III

A graduate of the London School of Economics, Charleston Rickman-Boyd is a tech marketing veteran, most recently leading the marketing efforts of robotic masseuse startup Kneads.

Legal Counsel - Regina Ziegler

Regina Ziegler has served as a human rights lawyer for nearly 30 years. She has counseled corporations, national governments, and international bodies, including the U.N. and IMF, on ethical decision making and international law.

Advisor - Glen Davies, PhD

As Tabú’s resident anthropologist, Glen Davies provides insights into how eating practices vary from culture to culture throughout history. In particular, Dr. Davies has focused on the perception of cannibalism and cultural relativism.
